This pilot project informs and engages Canadian middle school students on fisheries and aquaculture in select developing countries. Students explore how these topics relate to their everyday lives and how Canadian activities are contributing to Millennium Development Goals through development activities. Additional resources and recommendations for extensions are included in each lesson plan.

This project was initiated by World Fisheries Trust and associates, with funding provided by the Canadian International Development Agency and their project "Global Classroom Initiative".
